User Curve

Postby icke_siegen » 11 Nov 2012, 10:17

I want to create another curve, to be applied via Playback Options. Edited the Curve.xml file accordingly (and restarted software, started a new show). But the new curve doesn't show up in the Playback Options.

Essentially, my curve would be linear inverted, running from 255 down to 0.

Can anyone shed some light on me?

THANKS.

Works for me. If you edited in notepad or similar it might be worth loading into an XML editor to check it is ok.

Hi Nick,

thanks for the expectedly quick response

Seems that there is something more onto it. It doesn't work.

But for the moment, let's forget about my 'invert' experiment. I am trying this on a freshly updated Tiger Touch, Version 6.1, and to be exactly sure, I updated personalities, restarted the software, started a new show. Patched some Dimmers, made a cue with them @ full, and am just observing the output in DMX view.
Linear 80% behaves as expected.
Linear 90% behaves as expected.
Bounce, Triangle, Relay Off >50% do not give any output
all others are exactly linear, regardless how fancy the values may be.

May I ask you to have another look?

Or are curves not meant to be applied on dimmers after all?

Teaching an old dog new tricks... is there anything about the consoiles you don't know?

Now I will proceed testing my inverted curve.

Thanks mate.
