Titan groups on tour

Postby DUSTINSNYDER » 28 Jul 2012, 22:41

Hey. I am trying to save time with groups on house rigs and pre-building groups of dimmers, but it is not updating cues when I replace groups. EXAMPLE patch 2 dimmers & record 2 groups leko 1= (dim 1) and leko 2 = (dim 2). Select group 1 @ full and record cue 1. Select dim 2 and replace group 1. Group 1 now = dim 2. Playback cue 1. The output still dim 1 @ full. Am I going about this wrong in some way? It would save me loads of time if i could just pop thru the house dimmers and update my groups and have that update my playbacks.

Cheers!

Groups are just a shortcut to selecting fixtures (and for pixel map grid layouts).

One solution might be to use palettes.

How do you mean? Like make intensity pallets such as blue fronts and replace the pallet containing only the fixtures in the new house rig that apply?
The other way I thought to do it would be to pre-label individual dimmers like (blue fronts 1,2,3,4,5,6) for each group that I am likely to encounter, then re-patch the proper dimmers in the new rig. But in this scenario, I would have to pop thru and write down which dimmers are what as opposed to highlighting and next, next, nexting my way thru and adding to the group as I go. I'm just trying to find the quickest way to get the house dimmers into my console. It works just fine for movers using fixture exchange, the groups stay intact. I'm just hoping for a way to do this with dimmers as well.....
