intensity pallets?

Postby peter.rodda » 13 Sep 2011, 14:40

Does any one use intensity pallets?

As one example, often during a corporate show, there will be MC looks and Speakers looks, and maybe different house light looks/levels. If they are then programmed into a long show cuelist, there could be 20+ times when the MC look is reloaded. But if then, after programming the show, the come back and say “we need 15% more/less on the front light for the MC look”, then that is a lot of updating.

So, does anyone use any type of intensity pallet? Or, would that be something to program as a separate cue, and then to Autoload it in a blank/BO cue ever time? Then, if levels change, just the cue, or the pallet can be changed and it will then be updated for all cues.

I'd always suggest the second way: have the HTP 'pictures' as cues, and then autoload if required. I feel this is much more handy, even for ad hoc firing the cue when the schedule suddenly changes.

Intensity palettes: I use them frequently for strobe values...
