Live updating of cuelists

Postby (iCe) » 04 Oct 2010, 07:16

Hi,

When working on a theatre show, I was using cue lists on Titan. Worked great, but I have one little thing I would like to see changed. At this point, you can't alter your cue step live properly, this is the problem:

Assume we've got a cue with some conventionals. We want to alter those conventionals, set them to a lower value. We grab the fader and take control of the lights, dimming them. Then we merge our changes into the cue step. But now what? Clearing the programmer will reset the lights to the old (higher) value, which will be noticable on stage. Advancing to the next cue will also keep the lights as they were (when they could be off in the next cue for instance).

The only solution is to reactivate the cue, effectively stepping back and forth. It would be nicer if the adapted cue step was immediately output with all changes applied. That way you can alter intensities live without too many people noticing.
