let's say i have my Mac's waving about in a trendy manner using a shape, and I want to use one of them to spotlight someone... How would I remove the shape from just that one fixture?
Is it possible with a 2008 running the expert software?
how do I remove shapes from an individual fixture?

Unfortunately there is no function to do this in any software at the moment.
One way to achieve this is to be in program mode, select fixture, [shape gen], and create a circle shape with zero size. This should override p/t offsets from other positional shapes and make the fixture static.
Depending on circumstances you could include the original shape, then [remove shapes for selected fixtures] on the one(s) you want static and finally record as a memory. This would allow you to then clear the programmer and return to run mode, but could be messy.
And in case there is any confusion the 2008 runs 2008 software. Only the Expert (or PC, technically) can run Expert software.
