Edit Palette
Who can tell me how to use the edit palette button? I'll gladly use the owners manual if you can tell me what page it's on. Currently i've gotten by by simply pulling up a palette, change it, and re-store it over the old location.
-All of life is a learning curve.
As I understand, the edit palette function will automatically bring values from the palette into the programmer without having to select fixtures, and also locates all unrelated attributes.
Personally, I've never found it of any use. I think it is more a legacy from early versions of the software when the primary function was for positional preset focus. In this case you would mainly use palettes for moving light positions on which cues were based, allowing you to update all your cues simply by adjusting the palettes (or 'preset focuses') when touring different venues.
Using [edit palette] to place the fixtures into a locate state to see positions then makes slightly more sense.
