Pearl 2008 Theater Stack

Postby David Boots » 24 Nov 2008, 13:46

I am using theater stack for the first time and I am having a couple of problems. After updating the position pallets, the cues won't update. I have to got through every cue and update them (this is very time consuming)! Also, if I have a shape generator running in a theater stack cue and I bring up a chase in a submaster, the shape generator freezes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How did you record the Theatre Stack, was it by Stage?

Yes, I recorded the cues by stage.

When you record by stage the console records the channel values of your fixtures and not the palette references. This is to ensure that exactly what you recorded is displayed in the cue. Unfortunately this means that updating your palettes will have no effect on cues recorded by stage. To be able to update your palettes you must record in channel or fixture.

Thanks Olie, I figured it was something stupid that I did! I re-programmed all of the cues and everything is following the pallets now, but I am still having the problem of the shape generator freezing when I bring up a conventional chase.
It doesn't do this when the console is in standard mode, only theatre stack. I'm sure it is something simple that I'm missing. Thanks, again.
