Pearl 2000 with 04 s/w - flashing led on start up

We have recently purchased a P2000, updated s/w to 04. Its been working fine, but ive been programming it for a gig this weekend. When I switch on first thing, the LED on handle 21 swop button flickers brightly, then over the next couple of minutes fades away to off. While its fading, if I change between program, run and system modes it flashes at each stage of the switch. After a couple minutes it never lights up again, unless its meant to.

Now our unit is in old stone mill and the unit temp rarely gets above 15c, is it a temperature glitch / issue? Or is it hardware saying i'm about to give up?

The temperature itself won't be a problem but condensation can form when it changes. I wouldn't worry about it. It's quite common for old 2000's to have some phantom LED issues.
