Changing Gobos via Fader

Postby chriscockrill » 03 May 2012, 16:09

Is there any way to program a fader to scroll though gobos on a Tiger Touch or Expert? Im really not sure why I would want to do this but was just curious if this programming was possible. Thanks!

Yes, it's possible - depending on how the gobo channels are implemented in the fixture and in the library.

- record a cue with all the other stuff, dimmer on, position etc. - and Gobo@Open
- record a second cue, Fade Mode = 2, with Gobo=Raw DMX @full (or wherever the last gobo sits)

Now, fire the first cue. You can fade through the gobos with the second cue...

Which fixtures are you using?

Ah I see! Understood.

There is no particular fixture that I am using. A friend just said that he saw someone do that on an AVO so I was just wondering how or if it was really able to be done.

Thanks for the reply!
