Personality build on desk

Postby glover » 27 Apr 2012, 09:18

Hi, I have some strange question :D Have you ever think about creating personality directly on desk ? I think about Pearl Tiger but i guess that it's to old to apply function like this so mayby on next desks. It will be great for users, you came to show, see new fixtures, get manual from area owner and make fast personality without computer etc. :D What do you think about this ?

It's already in Titan, and well integrated since version 5.

However, who did it already would disagree with 'see a new fixture and quickly write something' :D - this is not about the personality builder, but more about the quality of nowadays manuals and documentation of the fixtures.

I'd say it will not make into the classic desks.

And finally, in particular for the LED RGB fixtures, it's always worth having a look into 'generic' and 'unknown' manufacturers.

Speaking of Fixture personalities and modifying them.

Tiger touch V5.

The other day i needed to Make a Quick change a to a personality.
so i launched the personality editor and attempted to change the values for a particular parameter.
my problem came when i couldn't change the numerical values within the editor.first i tried entering the value via the keypad, and virtual keyboard. then I tried hooking up an external keyboard with No luck.

the mouse pointer obviously lets me get into the editor and parameters. but just not change the numbers.....
My work around was to launch the show file in TITAN simulator on my pc and do it.

I would rather have done it right from the console.

any guidance ?

Sounds like a keyboard focus issue. Try pressing the break key.
