Titan mobile and DELL Inspiron One 2205

Postby j-f » 21 May 2011, 12:11

Hello

I have just acquired a Titan mobil and wish to use a touchscreen. But instead of using a Laptop + Touch Screen, I think of a solution All in One. I chose of DELL Inspiron One 2205, with Windows 7 .

Is this solution supported ?

Thank you for your answer, fast purchase .

Purchased a Dell 2205 myself, to try this out, for demo (and some other purposes).

- Yes, works.
- well, the 2205 is equipped with a Celeron, and Onboard graphic. Whilst it's a good price, you shouldn't expect much performancewise (to make it clear: I don't believe this has anything to do with TITAN - even a bigger pdf scrolls not exactly fast; it's the processor)
- no external graphic output - you'll be always limited to just the touch display.

But except from that: not too bad...

I thought the 2205 was an Athlon X2 which should be more than capable of running Titan.

I run it on a MacBook Pro when I can but I also have a low-end old touchscreen PC which is just 1.5Ghz with 512Mb of RAM and it also runs quite acceptably on that (The GUI can lag a bit when running multiple playbacks, but the output doesn't seem to)

Pardon me - you're quite right. I referred to the Dell 19 (wanted to buy the 2205, but really on a hurry - and only the 19 was for weekend delivery that day). You're right as for the processor.

But still the description reads no VGA or HDMI out. Maybe a seond monitor isn't common for All-in-One PCs, but I'd recommend it.

Sorry again man.
