Communications Issue

Hi All,

I'm new to visualiser, I have a Pearl 2004 connected to my PC directly using the Visualiser port on the back of the Pearl. I also have a dongle installed which is working.

I tried loading the demo theatre into visualiser and the console, I set visualiser to run and selected RS-232, I have also set the console MIDI setting to Visualiser in user settings.

I have also tried building my own theatre but again it doesn't talk to desk....what am I doing wrong!!

OK, cracked it! It would appear that the Visualiser port on one of our Pearl 2004's doesn't work!

Tried another one it's fine!

Hi John,

Just out of curiosity, did you assume that your first Pearl was at fault or do you know for sure (by having run the MIDI tests)?

I had similar problems and both desk and PC were OK, but I still had to use ACDI to get them to talk.
