pearl 2000 crash (E-994cde)

Postby wayna » 25 Jan 2011, 13:27

Hello!

A had a crash issue during programming last week with my pearl 2000 desk, running the sept 2000 software.

this happens in theatre stack mode, every time on recording the 10th step (no matter if it was called 10.0,12.0 or 9.5),and bringing these issues:
-VDU screen shows "E-994cde" message
-Unability to record a new step
-Stack programming functions (cut to live,go,snap back...) doesn't respond anymore
-dimmer faders doesn't respond anymore
-save function doesn't work

-load function works
-VDU screen works
-all programming functions except theatre stack are working fine
-memory is not on 0%

So the "solution" i found is this:

-I recorded 9 steps on my desk, saved it on a floppy.
-I loaded the show on my computer software, then recorded an 10th step.
-I saved the show on the floppy, making it compatible with sept 2000 soft
-loaded it on my desk, and after all worked fine,i could record as many steps as i wanted to,it crashes only on 10th step!

so that's okay 'cause i found a temporary solution, but it means i always have to carry a computer with me.So if you could help me on that i would be really grateful, did someone experienced the same issue?

By the way what do i need to do for software uprgrade from setpember 2000 to 2004?

many thanks
wayna
