Titan-Expert-Fixture exchange + latch

Postby Iain » 15 Dec 2009, 17:53

I'm playing around with the fixture exchange feature in the Expert (in Titan mode) It is behaving strangely.
1) The fixture order keeps changing as I enter a new lamp.
2) I cannot seem to set a handle number, these seem to be defaulted to zero.

and as a bonus question; I read in an earlier post on this forum that you can latch the palette button when storing, as you can on the D4, I cannot find a way to do this anywhere. Where is the latch button hidden?

Thanks in advance for any replies, Iain

Latch menu is the ML button.

I think the problem with the fixture exchange window is that it does not currently understand the Expert handles. Are you aware that you can exchange via the normal patch function? - ie. attempt to patch new fixture on top of old gives option to exchange.

ML button eh? Who knew. Is that in the manual? Cool though. Thank you

Thanks for the swift reply. Just patching over the existing fixtures makes it far easier. Thank you again. I'm just playing with a Mac 700 and a Mac 2k. The colour, movement and focus palettes transfer over fine but not the gobo's. Is this common to all fixtures? However, being able to switch fixtures and keep most of the palettes is very nice.

I'm afraid it is in the manual, yes. Mentioned quite a lot....

About fixture exchange data I'm not absolutely sure but I think the attributes that don't translate are those associated with function attributes - ie. Gobo Index/Gobo Spin etc. After exchange the palettes seem to know they contain related data but can't get the actual value. Of course all cues still retain any references to these palettes so simply merging/replacing the new data will still work on playbacks as expected.

Incidentally it might be useful to point out you can edit directly on the LCD fixture patch view for addressing/parking etc.
