pearl 2004 button's led doesn't work

hi all
I've got a pearl 2004 with some problem.

on the console there's 4 part of buttons
1st playback side, 2nd the handle side(swop, preset)
3rd from the numpad section including those below it(pages) and those next to the small display
and fourth all the attributes range buttons.

now that all my 3rd and 4th button's red led light doesn't lit up anymore.
all the button works fine except the small red color led light doesn't lit up.

while the 1st & 2nd section button's led light work just as normal.

occasionally, the small led on the section 3rd & 4th buttonsblink once or twice every 5min or so.

There's once I have no idea it return to normal, it lit up and working fine
but right after a few press of button on the attribute range it return back to the same problem again.

version is 1.1
the console have been sleeping for a long time.
it's not mine, the owner ask me to try it and see if it's still stable.
the dmx output works ok now I just need to find out what's causing the button's led light stop functioning.
