you wont find prices openly advertised. It's called the vendor business model. Basically, the manufacturer (avolites in this case) doesnt actually sell the consoles. they just make them, and sell them to avolites dealers who in turn sell them at whatever cost they can to make some kind of profit but still stay competitive. personally i hate this way of business. it just seems backwards and awful. but it's what the entire entertainment business goes by. It's a lot like cars, where you have to haggle and have an unpleasant experience every time you buy one.. yeah like that.

for instance, i want a pearl tiger. I have no idea how to get one. i really dont. the only vendor i see listed for the entire united states is avolites america. so your telling me they have no competition and can sell desks at any price? i've seen a tiger on ebay for 7 grand (not a knock off) and that seems like a fair price. i'm betting avolites america wouldnt let go of one for below 10. argh. i often wonder why avolites doesnt just put up a store front on their website. no more wondering if your getting ripped off. just one set price for each console.

Have you actually asked Avo US where to purchase from? Or emailed Avo UK direct and asked them?

In the UK I could purchase Avo consoles from a number of vendors, not just direct. I don't see why this would be different for any other locales.

Some of these publish prices openly and that's their decision. They will of course be list prices and it will depend on your account status with the company what discounts might be available.
But this tends to be true for virtually any product and is in no way unique to the entertainment industry. It's not unpleasant either in my experience. I call, ask for price and it's always pleasant.

I believe they say that if you don't ask, you don't get!

I don't understand the problem here. Have you tried emailing like I suggested?
