How to combine two playbacks of shape into one playback fade

Postby csgushen » 14 Oct 2007, 03:33

I made two cues using the same shape of pansaw on the different playfaders.Fixture 1 applied with pansaw recorded on playback fader 1,,and fixture 2 also applied with pansaw recorded on playback fader2,the two fixtures started with different positions 、sizes or speeds. For controling convenience,I want to combine them into one fader with the function of “include”,but I failed.Lcd says, replace it?it gave me no other choices, I know the method of “include”and can easily succeed in doning including single shape or static cues, while always failed on this instance ,how can I get it?
Thanks a lot.

For this I would simply recreate the scene.

If necessary you can fire the two existing playbacks, then select the fixtures and 'nudge' the pan/tilt values into the programmer by wheel to get the important positions.

Then select the fixtures and apply the shapes again as required.

Actually, having now tried this on the simulator it should work fine.

I wonder if you were trying to include one playback and then merge it with another? This will produce the warning message since you cannot merge shapes.
However, all you have to do is include shape one, then include shape two, then store (either to new memory or as replacement for original).
