Hi
Been doing some preprogramming with the onboard visualizer, and are finding that the visualisation of led bars are “weak”, meaning that the intensity is very low. Need to zoom very close, to even see the light. The highlighting when selecting the bars, totally “drowns” the light from the leds. Are there any way to “beef” up the perceived light from these? If not, a request for this, if tecnically possible.
Been trying different settings in Capture, to no avail.
The ledstrips/bars in question are both the ADJ Mega Tribars, and the Astera Titan Tubes.
Sincerely

Re: Capture visualising led strips/bars
Which version of Titan are you using? The simulation was significantly improved in the Capture 2018 component added in v12.0.
Re: Capture visualising led strips/bars
Well, using 11.something, since we didnt think of getting an editor key, when we upgraded the consoles. Think i might just yank the TM home and have a go at it.
Thanks Nic

Re: Capture visualising led strips/bars
Comparison image showing V11.4 with Atlas component on the left vs V12.0 with 2018 component on the right.
- Same show/fixtures/theatre/Capture settings/platform
- 20x Astera TitanTubes in 1:RGB px=1,strb=OFF mode on the top and 20x American DJ Mega Tri Bars in 54 DMX, 8bit mode on the bottom.
- I have deliberately included 20 of each arranged this way to demonstrate the sensitivity to camera location/viewing angle in Atlas compared to 2018 as well as the relative intensity. All fixtures are at the same Z position (ie. distance from camera). The left-half of each type are selected to show the difference when selected.
- Control levels for all fixtures/types in both images are Dimmer 100%, R100%, G0%, B100%.

Hi Nic
Thanks for the pics.
Have just tried it at home, and all is good with v 13. Also discovered that the Mobile Key unlocks Simulator, so dont need the Mobile attached, even though it’s nice with hardware control surface.

BTW it’s fine with the Titans not throwing lights, there is a nice bloom/aura effect around them. Primarely for programming “eyecandy” and patterns for these.

Re: Capture visualising led strips/bars
FYI.
Discovered that Capture doesnt visualise white when using a mode with this, eg RGBW, have submitted a bug report on webpage.

Re: Capture visualising led strips/bars
The reason the Astera Titan Tube's do not currently simulate the white controls in Capture is due to the fact these fixtures do not have a white component and instead emulate the white in relevant modes using the actual components (RGBAL). Capture are currently looking into this.
Re: Capture visualising led strips/bars
Hi Nic
Yes i know it is emulated white, and a nice warm one at that. Thought since it has a dedicated dmx channel it was up for grasp . Just took a look at the personality and it got me thinking as to how much work you guys are putting in to this, 130+ modes.......
Appreciated!!
