DMX window not updating in Simulator

Postby djsky » 24 Feb 2019, 16:38

Whilst making a few programming changes offline using the simulator, I brought the DMX workspace window up to double check my outputs and it appears that the values do not change for me.

I’m using v11.0.

Unfortunately the DMX window does not currently update live when running Titan Simulator although it does update live on consoles. Hopefully it will be possible to improve this in a future version.

So is my option to plug the dongle in and run Titan One rather than the simulator?

Is there a way to “authenticate” my installation so I don’t need to insert the dongle.... more so for situations where I might be remotely controlling another desk from my windows tablet.... would save having a poxy dongle and xlr cable hanging down from the tablet.

I am not certain at the moment but unfortunately it may be that the DMX window does not currently update live in Titan PC Suite in general (including TitanOne). No harm in trying though.

You need the dongle in order to use TitanOne. Again I'm not certain at the moment but I have a feeling it isn't currently possible to setup Titan Simulator in a session with other consoles meaning you would need to use TitanOne (and therefore, by association, the dongle) or Titan Mobile etc. I could be wrong. But if I'm not perhaps you could use Titan Remote in these situations instead? This does not require a dongle.
