TitanNet Error

Postby Davudius » 11 Mar 2018, 14:57

Hello! Yesterday (2h before gig) I removed an anti-virus program (mcafee) from the computer and suddenly Titan stopped send DMX. My titan mobile console and the DMX splitter had contact but not the computer and the program itself it would seem.

I am currently running on V.9 and in the DMX settings Titannet overview there is a red line between the lines 1-12 connecting to the localhost with a red square in the localhost bar. How do I solve this? And why was it caused by removing an anti-virus program?

Please help! I have the next upcoming gig in 2 days.

I'm not sure why uninstalling McAfee would have affected Titan, it may be that it has not uninstalled correctly, it has changed the network stack or that after uninstall the default Windows Defender/Firewall has kicked in with no exclusions. In terms of Titan you can try to start a new show with Wipe DMX Settings turned on (save your existing show first). Alternatively try deleting the shutdown file which can be found in Windows Explorer by typing %appdata%\Avolites\Titan in the address bar, alternatively browse to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Avolites\Titan replacing <username> with the name of your user account. The file to delete is called SHUTDOWN.d4b, once you have done so, please restart the software. If those options work you can then reload your show with Load DMX Settings turned off.
