Effects on Subs

Postby Pheamer » 04 Jul 2006, 10:54

Hi all,

Just a quick one please. I know the answer is probably in the manual but I dont have one to hand so. . . .

How do I program dim spread effects to subs but so that they can control any selected fixtures. Ie the submaster does not bring up lights, only starts the effect running?

Hope to hear from someone soon.

Cheers.

Use Record by channel. (Only information in the programmer will be stored)

Select Fixtures. Apply shape, set speed/size/offset and store.

I think what you are asking is not possible.
The effect on a sub will always work on all the fixtures you have programmed it for.

The effect is to dim the fixtures.

So dimming effect will be applied anyway...

Do you mean to change the intensity on all the fixtures.

So for example you are doing a concert, and the band want a blackout after their song???

If so, can you not bring the Grand Master down??

Otherwise, what most people do is have intensities for the Mac500s, 600s ie if your rig is 500/600 you have two intentsity subs.

If your actual request is like a shape, and you want to change the fixtures, than as said before I am not aware that you can do this. You would need several subs with the different fixtures you want to change.

In an ideal world you would be able to assign a movement like this to a pallette, but unless I havn't discovered how you can't record a shape to a pallette/preset focus??

Is this of any use???
