Preset Palettes Regeneration

Postby Quidam » 28 May 2017, 13:25

Hi,

At the moment, there's no way to regenerate Preset Palettes, right ?

Deleted palettes are removed from the show library, but 'auto palettes on wkspace' doesn't generate them back when bringing back in the show a fixture type that has been previously deleted.
This is problematic if you try to build a startshow : I used a certain type of fixtures months ago, then ended deleting all of them and removing their gobo palettes from the show - my mistake.
Now that I want to get them back in that showfile, I have to manually build all my gobo palettes. Fixing this would need rebuilding a startshow from scratch without patching any fixture in it - I should have saved my workspaces in such a show back then -_-'

Is there a 'generate preset palettes' option hidden somewhere ? Or can I do something with the fixture builder (I still have to try renaming the personality and use it as a 'new' (User) pers) ?

Thanks in advance

not a solution ( i agree there should be a button to regen the palettes....) but a way to get what you want,

new show patch relevant fixtures auto palettes on

save show

open your start show ,
open show library
import show
import palettes

Done!
