Hey,
I have a setup with just some led pars, i made a strobe with 2 steps, all on and all off with color white. Now the strange thing is, when i swop it, the previous colors dont come back. Stupid thing is, that when i click a color without selecting groups and thus making all lights the same color, it works. Then after the strobe it returns to the last color.
I made a little video of how i made the strobe and that it doesnt work when i selected certen groups with different colors. (i did forget to change the BPM and fade in this video)

If anyone knows how to fix this, that would be great.

Re: strobe not going back to previouse color
Setting a release mask on a playback will cause it to return to previous playback values when the playback is killed. So this means that if the colour was set from another playback that was fired it would return to that however a value set in the programmer is ignored. Since firing a quick palette (i.e. a palette without selecting a group) does not go into the programmer it is treated like a playback and so this works when programmer values do not.
There are a few options you could try:
There are a few options you could try:
- Record a cue with a Dimmer Strobe shape, white colour and set to mode 2 so that the colour is removed.
- Record the same chase but instead of setting the colour normally create a key frame shape that has the colour white in both chase steps.
- Record normal palettes (individual values for each fixture) which only have certain fixtures in and can have some fixtures in one colour and some in another. These you can fire as quick palettes so that the release mask will work.
