Pearl 2008 Shapes

I'm working with a Pearl 2008 for an upcoming show and I'm having some trouble with the shape generator and particularly the pan/tilt shapes.

The basic shapes (circle) seem to load fine, but a lot of the other pan and tilt shapes don't load. It just gives me the message of "Cannot Load Shape" or something along that line.

Is there a way to reload all of the shapes onto the Pearl 2008?

I really need to use the shapes but there are too many that aren't loading.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

There is a function in the service menu to load new shape files. To get a copy of the shape file you can use any installer (for example 2008 installer 1), run the self-executing archive to extract to a Usb stick then place in console and try the load new shape file function. Once complete perform a soft reset. See if that helps.

I reloaded the SG.dat file from the folder created when extracting the disk, and then loaded it into the console. However I'm still having an issue.

When I select moving fixtures and play back a shape (a plain circle) the movement of the lights is very small and jerky. It looks as if the speed is too high or the size is too small, but when I adjust those settings it doesn't help.. I seem to be getting the same issue when using a dimmer spread shape. The lights flicker very fast instead of going off and on. Again, I tried changing the speed and size and that doesn't help at all.

Any idea on what would cause this or what I could do to get it working?

Sorry I haven't worked with the Pearl 2008 in a while and I don't have the option of using a newer console.

Nevermind, I was loading the shape file from the console to the USB instead of the other way around. I have it working properly now.
