Pallet with fan

Hi, for example i created a pallet with beams straight up and another with beams forward. Selecting one wil activate that pallet and beams move in the right position. Pressing number 5 and then the pallet wil result in a fade of 5 sec to the new position. but can i also do that in a fan mode with the outside beams first and the middle last over a periode of time?

To make the palette fade across fixtures use the overlap setting. Default is 100% = all at the same time. 0% will wait for each step in the fixture order to complete the fade time before moving to the next step. 50% will start the next step when the previous step has completed half of the fade.

For this to happen outside -> middle you need a fixture order where the left and right hand sides share the same fixture order. For example, a normal order of 10 fixtures might be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. For the symmetrical fade you need 1,2,3,4,5,5,4,3,2,1. Or for middle -> outside it would be 5,4,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,5. Create a group of all the fixtures and then change the fixture order using [Edit Times]/<select group>/[Fixture Order].

While (normal) palettes do store the fixture order unfortunately this is currently ignored when using quick palettes. Therefore for this to work you need to select the group then enter the overlap and fade time before applying the palette.

Where can I select overlap en fade time. When I first selected a group I can't find these options?

Overlap is a softkey option in the numeric menu which opens when you input a number.
