Hi, when creating a color chase on our CMY or RGB fixtures, with the Cue Release "ON", when going to the next step, the fixture in the former step should return to the old color value. Thos works ok as long as we dont change the colors via the programmer. So, with no fixtures selected, press Red , all fixtures are red, start a chase where in every step one fixture will be white, all others return to Red, no problem.
As soon as we select a group of fixtures and press Red, all selected fixtures will be Red, but when running the chase, the selected fixtures will remain white when passed in the chase.
Do we miss anything here? Did we forget a step?
Clearing the programmer after color selction does not solve the issue.

Cue release bug?

Re: Cue release bug?
I think this is a mixture of correct behaviour and a bug in what should be a possible solution.
Firstly, with controls in the programmer it is correct that the values don't release as the programmer has priority. If you set the chase playback to a higher priority then it will release.
Secondly, there is a long standing design that causes controls to release to their locate values after the programmer has been cleared. That is why, even if you set the higher priority, on pressing clear the released steps are all white. The solution to this should be the option in the off menu [Release to Home = Disabled]. However, unfortunately this appears to be being ignored for the cue release function.
So, in short, you can overcome the issue of not releasing while in the programmer but there is no workaround after clearing. All I can suggest is to try avoiding selection by using quick palettes instead.
