Until now, nobody got any solution to this issue?
It's a shame that a brand as Avolites, just let some clientes "hanged" with no answers...

Hello,

I am very sorry about this. Unfortunately it's not my field otherwise I would help. I saw your issue in the system so not sure why it has not been resolved. I will try and escalate for you as a priority.

Hi

I hope you have better luck then we had... there are already several users with this problem, but nobody even replys to the emails since last September about this issue... I also sent my log files... they replied in the begging of this topic, but the last email I received from them was on the 24 September... after that, I sent several email and I didn't receive any answer... GOOD LUCK

P.S. - When V 8.1 was released, I thought they might had solved the problem and forget to say something to us, but I tested and had to downgrade again to V 7.5.

We have been looking into this issue relating to some Samsung Touch devices running Windows 8.1. The problem only seems to relate to certain devices and it is possible it is a common fault with the Samsung hardware. Unfortunately we have reached the limit of what we can investigate without having a faulty Samsung device to test with.

If you are able to ship the device to us we would be willing to investigate this further with the only expense being your shipping costs(please note this is not normally a service we would provide). Otherwise I would suggest either trying to get Samsung to replace the device or purchasing another manufacturers device. If you wish to ship the device to us then please contact me to arrange this.

Unfortunately problems such as this despite our best efforts to test a variety of hardware do occur. If you want a reliable hardware platform that is tested extensively by us then we have a full range of consoles with built in hardware available.

Sorry to hear this, Olie. I don't have this problem and I love avolites consoles but I think a brand like yours can not leave customers (people who pay > 3000€ for your products) without a proper support.
From Titan Mobile product overview page at avolites.com: "Avolites TITAN Mobile binds the awesome power of TITAN software with a compact and  lightweight unit that connects to your laptop to produce a fully featured moving light control system." From Tech Spec page:
"PC Requirements
To run any of the applications of the Titan PC Suite, Titan Mobile, Titan Simulator and TitanOne, the following PC specification is recommended.
Processor4 GB
8 GB free space
Operating System
Windows 7 SP1 64-bit1
When running on a computer with less than the recommended specification, the software may not run as well or as fluidly as it is supposed to. Note that the performance will vary depending on the number of fixtures patched and the number of running playbacks.
1 Tested on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows 8 including 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Please ensure that all applicable updates have been installed. Windows XP and Vista are no longer supported."

So, no word about computer brands. You are saying it "connects to our laptops". And this is product official advertising. In the other hand, you are saying wich touch screen we can connect to our 'reliable built in hardware consoles' and we assume this with no objection.

I think we should not pay to help in your product connectivity investigation. We already do this when purchasing one of your products.

Hi

I couldn't agree more with Junki... I really cannot understand!!!
If your software have problems with Samsung Touch, solve them... It is not our fault... It works perfectly with V7.5 and previous... you have to look for differences between it and V8.0 and V8.1 and find the differences that might be getting this problem.

I feel like you guys have not been in the computer world for very long ...

If you had been you would know that even tho rare there are times with software when combined certain hardware configurations just do not play well together. I've had MAJOR software developers tell me " well don't use that set up " to fix the problem .

At least Avo is willing to try to get a device in with the wacked config in house to research the issue ( tho I think they should offer to buy shipping both ways... I can see their side of it too )

yes listing all the specs was grand ... but face it 99.9% of users are not having this issue so stop playing like it as some sort of bait and switch.

just received this from Avo

"Hello Danilo,
Regarding the log files that you sent to us;
There is an issue with our products connecting to this pc, we are yet to get one of these PC’s here at Avolites to test this however the software guys suggest trying the below;
I would suggest doing a clean installation of Windows from a standard installation disk, i.e. not one from the computer manufacturer, as this is what we test with here and might help if it is a driver or system configuration problem
Kind regards,

Our support team has been looking into this and may have a solution for you. There is an application called HomeSync Lite from Samsung which is pre-installed on many of their machines. This application takes over various network ports including ones required by Titan to allow the different components to communicate with one another, even when running on the same machine. As Titan cannot open these network ports it never starts correctly and as the user interface cannot communicate with the Titan Engine it continues to display the Starting Titan screen.

Simply uninstalling the HomeSync Lite application from the computer has resolved the problem and allowed Titan to start normally.

Please let us know if this resolves the issue for you.

I have much the same problem, in titan 8, 8.1 and 9. running in windows 7 compatibility mode seemed to work sometimes, but doesn't at all now for some reason. I have a samsung touchscreen laptop running windows 8.1, but I don't seem to have the samsung software you mention. I've tried uninstalling almost every piece of samsung software on it with no luck.
