Dmx lines disseapeared and flashing artnet node

Just upgraded to v8 and as usual regret it more.

Problem one tried a new showtec node1 unit got it talking but dmx is only active when something is changing. I.e. When I have a rgb fixture on static red it flashes red every second, but if it's on a chase of fading rgb then is fine!

In the process of re mapping the dmx lines I have now managed to clear the dmx settings on the desk whereby none of the dmx lines appear where you would then map ABCD out to for line 1234 etc. funnily I've tried dmx line 1(A) and it still works despite not showing and not being able to change it. If I go to the Titan net overview the only line connected is from the line 5 which I set up as artnet but this isn't showing on the dmx lines!

Also found a problem whereby if you have say a 16 segment led bar and try operating it "run on sub fixtures" the intensity seems to group the shape generator together and control the bar as one, yet if you don't touch intensity apply the effect then bring intensity in afterwards you can get individual segment control.

Thanks for any assistance, I've tried to reinstall v8 to get the dmx lines back but to no relief, looks like I should roll back to v7!!!

What console are you running? The solution might slightly differ whether you're on the PC suite or a console. In any case, you should have a look into USB Expert console, and see if the DMX panels are there, if any problems are reported, or something alike.

The solution for your first problem might be the Art-Net setting 'Continuous Art-Net data stream' (in System/DMX-Setting, select Art-Net, click the 'i' for the settings). Better Art-Net devices would cope with the standard setting (No continuous...), where Art-Net is only sent when anything was changed. But the cheaper devices show the behaviour you're describing - set this setting to 'Continuous ...'

My bad it's the Titan mobile, I've found the dmx lines again you have to click onto the device in the artnet view.

I have also carried out the set continuous dmx transmit as the initial step. It makes a difference where if you do not have it on continuous then as rightly designed to do it only transmits dmx on change, with it set to continuous it appears to be sending packets every second and the lights flash accordingly. Just a tip for compatibility then that the showtec node 1 doesn't respond well to continuous data!

i've been experiance the same probleme...
it seems that the update speed is not fast inove for the node1...
when conecting the same node1 to a hog4 the problem is solved,
even when 'Continuous Art-Net data stream' is on
is there a way to speed up the update speed of the artnet?
or mayby in future software release...
