What is this?

Postby Evelyne » 25 May 2014, 12:16

Hey guys,

Got another question. My programmer was gone?

This is how it happened:
We had a concert. After the concert there was a dance event, I wanted to reload my file as the external tech had deleted something I needed. I unplugged DMX-A (conventional) and DMX-D (LED's). I loaded my file, then plugged DMX-A back in, all conventional lights went out, which is normal, I put them back on and also put my movers (DMX-B) on as I knew that the LEDs were going to go out when I plugged in DMX-D. But when I plugged DMX-D in, there was a full BLACK OUT. The audience started cheering, they thought something would happen. This never happened before!

Anyway, got it all on with everything I programmed before, BUT the programmer was gone?! I couldn't program anything at all, luckily I didn't need it, but it was annoying, it shouldn't act like that. After the show I reloaded a file again, still no programmer. It came back after a software-restart. Do you know what happened? (Expert, V7.4)

This is what it looked like, on every attribute:

You have changed the wheels to control fade time instead of delay. This is toggled using softkey G in the root menu of program mode. For control of levels it should read [Wheels=Level]. In your screenshot it will be reading [Wheels=Fade Time]. There are three settings, the third being [Wheels=Delay Time]. You probably just accidentally toggled it while messing with connectors.
