Pearl Expert Touch Wing Touch not working

Postby illumn8r » 11 May 2013, 22:30

I have one of the newer (Non-Pro PE w/Titan with the wing) after using awhile when you go to touch the wing it doesn't register the touch at 1st, if you push a bit it finally does, then after a little while longer it simply stops registering touches at all. Works perfectly fine otherwise using the trackpad but that is very slow to use during a fast paced show. At a suggestion ran recovery and reinstalled 6.1 and it worked, for about a day then same thing, worked a bit, pushed hard and it would again and then nothing at all. When it was working if you brought up the Calibration control panel you could see the screen listed, once it stops working there's no screen listed. I can't keep reinstalling recovery. Any suggestions?

This sounds like a hardware issue to me. Check any connections you can. Otherwise this is almost certainly a problem for service.

Opened it up and pushed every connector I could find, none seemed loose but it's working, at least for now. Thanks :-)

When I go after a problem like this .. I always fully disconnect then reconnect the connectors... just to be sure.
