Users manual

Is there an actual manual that really has instructions in it? The orginal manual I have is really empty and does not help much. Has one been made yet that explains how to work inside the visualiser in more depth? Like how to delete trusses? How to orientate trusses and build truss grids?

Hi,
The manual is a little lacking, so basically it comes down to good old fashioned trial and error!

To delete a truss (or other objects), just double left click to highlight the object (now shown in blue) and open the object properties (in this case truss properties), then select <delete truss>. Notice you can also orientate the object here as well.

If you have a number of objects that you want to move as a group - ie a truss structure or a whole stage with fixtures, simply 'rubber band' (left click and drag around the objects) and select <group> <ok>
from the options.
When you now put the cursor over the objects you just grouped and left click to move, they will highlight in red (if you have grouped them correctly) and move as one. Double clicking on a group opens the GROUP properties box, where you can <delete> and orientate entire object groups.

Use the Object Selection box to keep track of everything - makes the selection of fixtures that are very close to each other easier as well.
This opens when you double click on an object.

If you move something you didn't intend to move (very easily done!) CTRL+Z =undo edit and SHIFT CTR+Z =redo edit.

Try keeping your trusses simple in design -'pipes' are quite adequate - remember (as we've said on this forum many times) this program is not trying to be WYG, MSD or Capture. If you want intricate trusses then build them from the included .csv files.

More info on .csv here...
