grey screen & can't create objects in vis

Hi all,

i've just tried to install visualiser onto my pc at work, running 2k,

when i load up, i get a grey background on wire, and black on solid, however when i try to add anything like a truss etc, i get:

exception:D:\Dev\Borland\src\TrusProp.cpp,line207:failed to set data for 'DefaultTrussDistanceX'

in the status bar,

any ideas?
