Does anyone know how to solve the dongle error? I have a dongle plugged in.
When even i click the "Simulator" option in the visualiser, my Simulator is running also.
Thanks

If you are running XP then please ensure that you have installed the XP dongle drivers under the Start Menu|Avolites|Visualiser. Also that you have read and followed the Visualiser
Quick Start Guide.
If you are still unable to get the dongle to work then please contact Avolites by email using my email button at the bottom of this post.

Despite the installation of the drivers and a dongle I still have problems.
The software doesn't "see" the dongle.
I will send you an email.

Have you tried to see what settings your LPT port are; under the bios settings?
It should be set to [EPP] mode. see if that may be the problem. I had this problem when I upgraded a motherboard last year. the defaults were set to [ECP+EPP] mode.

I checked it.
There were 3 choises and I tried all 3 of them, but nada nothing.
Still the darn error.
I noticed that despite of my bios settings, W2K uses always the same driver.
ECP Printer port (LPT1)
So I manually removed that driver and forced windows to load the driver named
Printer Port (LPT1).
Checked it but the error remains.

You better use the "License" tool, under Start>Avolites>Visualiser>Tools.
This will give you a computer key that tou send to Avolites with your Visualiser's serial number and they will return tou you an activation code that allows one computer to run the visualiser without a dongle.
This is the quickest way if you already tried with the conventional way with no results.

Do you know to whom I should send that serialnumber?
I've send an email to Chris and to Oliver (asking them for a solution), but they haven't replied

When you run the License program you get instructions (mail address included) on how to proceed.

Hi Olie,
I've send you an email on Sunday and today.
Can you confirm that you received them?
I'm waiting for the license key, since the dongle
doesn't work (and yes, I've send in the PC key).
It would be great if I finally could start working the visualiser.
