connectivity problems

Hi,

I have a problem connecting a pearl 2004 to my notebook. I have tried the instalation advisery described in the manual. I am not sure how to configure RS232 port in WIN2000.

Could anybody please be so kind an give me a short howto.

Are there any problems with running virus scanners, firewalls etc. ?
