You don't need a dongle any more.

If you wanted to actually connect the console you might need ACDI.

i have tried do a patch in both vis and sim.
but i dont think they connect. i am pretty sure that the dmx adresses are correct in both vis and sim. and i choose simulator in vis in the radio butons.
any idea what i am missing?
edit, what is acdi?

ACDI
But you definitely don't need this for a simulator and Avolites Visualiser running on the same machine.

In Vis, create a new theatre and add a single generic dimmer at Univ A, DMX 001. Change to Run mode.

In Simulator Patch one dimmer to a handle on output A, DMX 001.

Raise/Lower the relevant preset handle and you should see results in Vis.
