Is there any way to incorporate a footswitch or possibly a volume pedal in such a way that it would control a channel or a sub? I use both hands and my voice to control my show, but why not use my feet? One pedal for strobes and one for audience abuse. Something like that.

You can to a limited degree. See MIDI section in manual.
I have seriously considered doing similar things. Foot control is the obvious answer to a lack of hands. The principle is used everywhere else. I would prefer it to be more configurable and integrated with the desk/software though. Something I have intended to discuss in the future.
