timing of gobo changes

Postby nervous_ned » 30 Mar 2008, 05:35

Hello! Here's my first post to this group and I hope my question makes some kind of sense: I want to have cues that change from one gobo to another, but not SNAP but delicately roll from one pattern to the next in a most graceful and creamy fashion. I have found that it's possible to do that with color mixing and positions., but not with gobos or color wheel colors. I remember back in the days, I could get that effect with Cyberlights and again later with LSD Icons...does that mean it's something that is limited by the fixture rather than the desk?

Thanks very much for your time!

Obviously this depends on the abilities of a particular fixture but on the Pearl you can define if a fixture/attribute is instant/fading through Program mode/Patch/Patch Utilities.

Note that, regarding fixture capability, some may have separate values for fading or indexed etc.
