azure shadow memory problem?

Postby dmb182 » 04 Mar 2008, 02:58

hey guys, so i had the new shadow out on her first show this weekend. Rig consisted of six High End Studio Spot 250's, 20 conventionals, 2 Color Kinetics Color Blast 12TR's (great units by the way) and a Martin JEM 24/7 Hazer. It was a Celtic Rock festival which the Saw Doctors headlined among others.

The console worked great, but one issue i had was that while patching the console seemed to run out of memory. I tried to patch some trackspots (not critical to the show at the time) and when the display read "expanding" and counted down the percentage when it reached 0 the display read a message very quickly that said something like it couldnt complete the operation because the disk was full or something.

Considering the desk had been wiped before patch, and i had only patched 6 movers and 2 color blasts and a handfull of conventionals i find that odd.

I'll try and get the exact message tomorrow if i can read it before it flashes off, but basically it wouldnt load the palletes for the trackspots or any other fixture.

any prior experience with this issue?

I'm guessing that this was a compressed personality disk & wonder if it needs write access to create a list after decompressing?

I may be way off but no harm in making sure disk is write enabled & try again.
