Martin TW1 personality / pearl expert

Postby kim » 28 Feb 2008, 12:50

hello,

I've been busy changin the current TW1 personality in order
to have the mechanical dimmer default open, i did this with
inverting the channel in the personality.

what i want to do next is
1. i want to be able to patch the fixture and it's optional external dimmer
under the same handle "pending dimmer" (like a vl5)
2. i want to use the mechanical dimmer to react on lowlight and highlight
so i can focus with next and previous.

Has anybody got any idea on how to do this?

thnx

best thing i can tell you is try to change the martin profile to fit your needs. Or use the attributes from the martin profile to put into your light. Sorry i do not have a better answer for you. I have never used a TW1 or seen a DMX chart so i do not know how they behave.

I did have a look into this but really couldn't understand the existing definition regarding pending and how you wanted it to be.

Best thing to do is speak to personality file persons direct if you can't edit it yourself.

Hi,

There are two new personalities in the library which have the electronic dimmer set as a pending dimmer. The mechanical dimmer doesn't default to open but opens when you locate the fixture in the same way as the electronic dimmer. As with other fixtures colour mixing is used for the highlight (yellow) and lowlight (blue) function.

Requests for personality files can always be submitted to Avolites directly via the online form which can be found by going to the address http://www.avolitesdownload.com/PersonalityLibrary/, clicking "Request" at the top of the page then the "Request New Personality" button.

Please provide as much information as possible to ensure an accurate and speedy response.
