trackspots on an azure shadow 2000

hey guys. Having an issue with my trackspots on the shadow. this is the first time i've hooked up scanners to my avo (have studio spot 250's).
First problem is that, it appears i have to patch the trackspots first starting at dmx address 1 because the only way to address the fixtures is to use dip switches, and from what i can tell the only settings are in multiples of 7 (7 channels per track). So i'll have to put my studio spots later in the chain i guess? I'd like to keep the studio spots as the first fixtures, any options here? is there a way to leave dmx channels blank on the azure? like if my studio spots take the first 108 channels, is there a way i can skip to 112 and leave 109 through 111 blank?
second, and most importantly, all attributes work fine except pan and tilt, which is VERY slow. is this a setting on the board somewhere? when i say very slow, i mean if i go from pan 0 to 100 the fixture prolly takes 2 minutes to pan.
third, i'm assuming this is high resolution, so i have personality switches 3 & 5 set. thanks for the help
