Hi,
I´m a new pearl user, and after a few months of use I have several questions:
1 - Solo question - In takeover mode after I select several memories and preset's(color and gobo and position) appears a guitar solo, and I want a MH to go white on his back, and when solo end's the MH goes back to selected color, gobo and position, how do I do that?
2 - Can I change shapes in real time?
3 - How do I control a color channel on a memorie like the dimmer channel?
Not just On anf OFF but going sliding and chaging the collor?
4 - How do you put the lower MH's? to the same side that the upper one's or reverse?
Do you invert pan or tilt to the lower MH's?
5 - When will came out the new Pearl software??
sorry my bad Inglish
Regards

1) Use Mode 2.
Record a playback with the fixtures how you want for the solo. There is an option to set to mode 2 after pressing [memory] (enter numeric 2) or change after recording by [edit times] softbutton/relevant playback SWOP and toggle with softkey G.
2) Set playback to mode 2 again. This will allow you to control speed and/or size via fader position. Set which are controlled by Shape Generator/Playback Parameters/Toggle Timed-Static. Timed controls by fader (or by preset LTP fade time = mode 1)
3) Yep, mode 2 again!
Mode 2 allows you to fade LTP attributes in the same way as normal HTP (ie. dimmer). They have the advantage of fading in either direction, so even if an attribute is at a high value, raising a mode 2 playback with the same attribute at a lower value will fade the attribute down and fade it back up when you lower.
4) You can invert both but you will get tilt mirrored. IIRC there is no way to get both pan and tilt moving in the same direction.
5) Is there any particular feature or fix you need?

Hi,
I had already tried mode 2, but it only work with some channels, with pan&tilt works fine, it goes smouthly to the destination point, and come back when the fader goes down, but with color and gobo channels mode 2 doesn't work, it still remains working with a trigger and if I slide down the fader nothing appens...
why "mode 2"only work's fine with some channels and not in all?
Regards

That's because your colour channel will probably be set to instant mode instead of fading. You can change that by using the 'Set/Reset instant mode' feature in the patch utilities. Just select the fixtures you want to alter, and press the colour wheel option to set or reset the instant mode of that channel. After resetting it (on most colour wheels it's enabled by default) you will be able to control your colour wheel by playback fader (in mode 2 that is).
