Hey i'm currently learning the pearl, and made a showfile and a setup in the visualizer.

Yesterday when trying to work out how to make generic lights "flash" (ie with a old fassioned flash button press) I couldnt as the desk is stuck in Takeover mode...

when I perform a wipeall it freely toggles like normal but when I load the showfile again, it sticks to Takeover...
it also does not change when I use the usersettings menu to change it.

Is like this with the simulator as well...


so.. what have I done with this showfile and how can I undo it?

Obviously I've already responded in BlueRoom, so nothing I can add although I wouldn't hold out much hope.

But I wonder if it might be useful to clarify whether this show originated in a desk or in the simulator and whether it has moved between the two and been saved from different platforms. It is unclear in your post. In BR you did not mention simulator.

the truth is the file was written in the simulator AND in the desk, it was built up over the last 2 weeks as I was learning the desk and so I took it from the desk at work to my pc (simulator) at home...

this could be the issued...


I'm starting to think the file has just corrupt rather than being a desk/simulator fault, I got a cyclic redundancy fail from the floppy disk i'm using today, so this could be the fault!

CRC fail might certainly account for the problem.

Could you perhaps have switched to Theatre stack somewhere in programming? That limit the consoles' ability to switch modes.

I thought I should return to this and confirm that there is a problem caused by entering/exit of Theatre Stack.

It appears that this freezes Run mode in Takeover. It also stops autoconnect of chases.

Unfortunately this problem saves with a show. The only solution I can see loading a previous show or wipeall.
