mis-aligned gobo shapes

Postby declanswift » 29 Apr 2007, 20:05

Hi
We happily took ownership of a pearl 2004 8 months ago with joyfull glee, with the exception that - from time to time the gobo's on our kryptons mis-align e.g. (when we locate fixture, some lamps light up with the 4th gobo) when this happens it usually sticks for a couple of days. whats really unusual is that most of the time it happens to an opposite pair such as our back-stage-left and the back-stage-right which are in mirrored positions. we've been through our dmx and the individual lamps and they all check out. putting the lamps on a fast gobo spin sometimes fixes the problem.

Any Idea's??

Also sometimes an 'E' comes up on the display. is this an error??

Thanks

'Sometimes' suggests lamp/DMX fault, especially if it's some of a set of same fixture type.

Make sure line is terminated. Try changing positions of lamps in chain.

The 'E' is error. Go to System and view Bus Errors. You can clear the error from here. If it reoccurs first check everything is seated correctly in the console notably the video card. If still a problem contact Avo directly.
