remote control

Pretty certain I know what I'm doing with the remote, I've had it working before, but now it has stopped working.
I have taken the 25pin din cable apart and check for continunity, it is fine. When the remote is plugged in, I press the white key and exit 111. No LEDs light up at any point during this procedure.
Opened up the remote and check continuity on all the obvious cables connecting the din sockets to the circuit boards, they are fine, I also made sure all the chips were seated well, which they were.
Only thing it does do is the LED on the board inside it does light up when it is plugged in.
Can anyone help?

Have you enabled the remote under the User Settings?

If not you need to set the serial port setting to Remote.

You also need to ensure you power up the desk with the remote connected.

Done all those things and still nothing! Any other ideas?
