hello all right here is a prob that some of you may have had, pearl SN:1129 has taken to occasionaly dumping all the pallets (sometimes during the show i might add) as well as some of the shapes. the problem migrates with the show save and is cured for a few days with a reinstall the heart continue to beat throughout. any thoughts anyone?
thanks in advance

Other than problems with (loose?) memory chips I can't see how such a random thing could occur.
I wonder if this is related to SG.DAT? IIRC If you use 'update shapefile' function, palettes will cease to function until a soft-reset. No shapefile would = no shapes (if you're using 2004 builds then an obviousl symptom of no shapefile is shapes in capital letters). SG.DAT can be part of your showfile.
That's the best I can think of. Are there any bus errors?

hello again thanks for the response.
first time it happend i ran a memory check which came up fine the shape file is there on install and its only some of the shapes vanish mostly pan tilt ones. it has had a recurent video bus error that i a bored of fixing really. the first time this happend the pallets were replaced with random positions be it pan tilt gobo or colour.
what you said about pallets stoping working may suggest that the the shape file is being currupted so the desk is taking that to be an update and stopping the pallets from working may be?
any other thoughts?
thanks

I'm not entirely sure. If things just change randomly without there being any loading/re-patching/storing or editing of memories then I think you should have someone check your hardware. Give Avo a call or email service.
