Executor not releasing anymore

I have a showfile on a Quartz with some executors that bumps to a color. When releasing the executor, the color slowly faded back to the selected color in the Palette. But when I last time loaded my showfile to the Quartz again (I rent it for gigs, so I don’t know what happens to the console in the meantime) the fixtures do not release the color anymore. It now stays fixed to the bump color of the executor. I have the release mask and time set in the Release tab of the executor. Is there a (system wide) setting I am overlooking and/or did something change after an update of the console (of which I do not know if this has happened)? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
