If you want the dimmers to be available on the preset handles then patch them separately as standard dimmers instead of being part of the personality. If you define a 'pending dimmer' channel in the personality you can patch on top of the fixture handle (and even double-up if you don't need individual control)
Hope that makes sense!

ok, i understand 1/2 (i'm from belgium, french language)
now, i patch 2dimmers + fix without dimmer, because i need separate control!
-what you say is: if i've got to dimmers on a same fixeture, i've got problem with focus!? but why? because of the shape generator (maybe only one dimmer do the shape?) i don't understand the link between focus and dimmer?
-the best solution: a 2 separate pending dimmer, but a dimmer is always 1channel, there is no possibility to create a "double pending dimmer"?

I did not mention 'focus' anywhere. I guess translation problem?
Purpose of pending dimmer is to allow dimmer of fixture to have its own dmx address, different to that used in personality (normally an offset of start address). Example is for moving lights, such as VL1/5, where lamp is tungsten/halogen and runs from conventional dimmers.
A pending dimmer channel means you can patch this on the same handle as the fixture itself making selection easier etc. You can also, just as with any 'normal' dimmer handle, patch more than one dimmer to that handle. But this will not allow individual control.
For separate control you have two options:
First is to continue as you are if you want to have this control from the preset handles.
Second is to define the second dimmer as HTP attribute in personality. You could place this on any free attribute.
Disadvantages of this are: One of your dimmers is only available by wheel, no dimmer shape on that channel, no 'highlight' function etc.
Advantages are: Easier to patch. Uses fewer handles.
Does that make more sense?
