Pearl 2004 and Pearl Expert 2008 group selection

Postby Il Tassp » 15 Jan 2023, 11:04

Good morning everyone. Sorry if this has been already covered.
I am currently switching between a 2004 Pearl and a 2008 Pearl Expert, running Titan.
Small to medium gigs, mostly live music, busking environment. Quickest group selection is crucial.
On the old 2004, fixture group selection is subtractive: if a group is already selected, a new selection from the keypad switches off the previous group and switches on the new one.
On the 2008, selection is addictive instead: a new selection from the keypad leaves the previous group on, and just adds the new one. The same applies when selecting groups from the touchscreen.
This forces me to a 2-steps process: old group off, new group on.
So... is there a way to make the 2008 behave like the 2004 when selecting groups?
Thanks in advance.

I can't immediately think of a way to achieve this but Titan follows selection rules where selecting fixtures (either individually or via groups) will add to the selection until a value is changed after which it will start a new selection. So, for example press group 1 followed by group 2 will select all fixtures in group 1 and 2 but if you select group 1 and change the intensity or recall a palette and then select group 2 the selection will then only be the fixtures in group 2. This would normally achieve what you want.
