Effects on groups

Postby lopesmacp » 09 Sep 2021, 13:38

My truss changes very offten. Some times we use 6 beams, sometime we use 4, sometime we use washes, sometimes we use PAR's.

This way i know there is a way to associate some effects to the groups. This is helpfull so when i add or remove fixtures, i just update them on the group, and the effects will start to affect the new fixtures aswell.
For exemple, i have 4 beams. I make a pan saw effect and record it on the beams group. When i add 2 more beams, the pre existed pan saw effect will affect the 6 beams and not just the previous 4

How can i do that exacly?

if im not mistaken, the copy fixture will only mirror one fixture into another with other address. Thats not what i need.

I need something, lets say i have 4 beams and a dimmer shape that lights each one individually in the order 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4... I want a way to record that effect in my beams groups so if i add 2 more beams, wher would go automatically 1-2-3-4-5-6-1-2-3-4-5-6-etc

by parking, does the spread update automatically a chances from 6 to 4 or will it keep an effect on 1-2-3-4-x-x-1-2-3-4-x-x?

What about regarding adding new fixtures? how can i do it?
