Playback release when Stop or Rewind

Postby Quidam » 04 Dec 2020, 11:57

One TL, one track, one intensity cue. Recorded live but stopped with pb active.

(TL is on a pb fader, the intensity cue next to it. TL release Options are all enabled)

Even if the intensity never goes down in the TL, I expected the intensity pb to be released when the TL is stopped (or at least when it's rewinded, since the 0:00 position is empty).
It doesn't, independently of the TL release and fader options used.

Is this intended behaviour ? (If so, it would at least deserve an option imho)

Note : Lowering the TL fader brings intensity to zero on the fixtures but the intensity pb is still highlighted and displayed in the Active Pb windows (I guess the TL fader is acting as a group master ?).

Thanks for reporting this.
Yes, when you scrub the time (either directly with the cursor or by pushing Stop), playbacks which are no longer fired should be killed.
It seems that this doesn't work 90% of the time if the level group (the coloured area shaded in purple in your screnshot) doesn't have an end within the timeline. You should find that if the playback goes to level zero within the timeline it behaves as expected.

I've filed bug #87272 for this - thanks for the report!

To answer your question about the timeline fader: yes, the timeline fader masters all HTP values fired by the timeline.
